Antique Victorian clutch-back pin with an unusual baroque pearl set in a splendid 10 kt gold claw. (1.2 dwt)  2.75 inches long.
Definitely a statement piece, previously worn as a lapel or hat pin.
Cream color pearl, 9.00mm x 8.00mm.

Lovely patina. Incredibly detailed scales and feathers on the claw. 
Minor markings do not detract from this treasure. The pin is  missing the original clutch closure which has been replaced with an  inexpensive, modern replica closure.
