Not long after Neelie and Noel were married, Marion Sambourne, noted in her diary

“The young Noel Stoker couple … charming, she is a dear little thing. Very pretty & full of soul & tenderness. We met her mother, a pretty woman….”

 

Marion was the wife of Punch illustrator, Linley Sambourne; the Sambournes were also friends of Florence and Bram Stoker
