B. 12 January 1858 le Creuzot, Nievre, France
D. TBD

Son of Denis G. Petitjean, “Ingenieur en Chef des Mines” and Adriene-Suzanne Maurice
Charles Petitjean and Matilda Stoker married 5 March 1889 in Dublin, not long after Charles’s 31st birthday, and 3 months before the year Matilda would turn 43.
Charles Petitjean co-authored, with his nephew, Murray Hornibrook, Catalogue of the Engraved Portraits of Jean Morin (c.1590-1650), published as a limited edition of 350 copies in 1945 by Cambridge University Press. Charles researched and collected the engravings for this book beginning in the very early 1900’s. Apparently the work was put aside for twenty years, before being picked up and completed by Hornibrook after Charles’s death.
