relating to Bram Stoker - the author of Dracula - his life and his family.
Research Credits: Through the kindness of many individuals and institutions,
the Bram Stoker Estate has amassed a vast collection of genealogical and historical information relating to the many members of Bram Stoker’s family.
It is the intent of the Bram Stoker Estate to share this over time, as it is appropriately organized, and with the permission of individual researchers. Aidan Hickey, was painted for the 134th Annual Exhibition of the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club and appears here by the kindness of Mr. Hickey and the Club, to mark the 2012 Centennial of Bram Stoker's death.
Bram Stoker shared a lifelong interest in the arts with his siblings and was one of the founding members of the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club. The history of the club, more about the 2012 exhibition and portraits by Mr. Hickey of Irish writers Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde, and Colm Toibin can be found at www.dublinpaintingandsketchingclub.ie
The portrait hangs at the Dublin Writer's Museum on
